Dr. Ashish Chhitwal O. D.
Dr. Ashish is a native of New Delhi, India, completed his undergraduate
studies at the University of Virginia in Biology. After completion of
his undergraduate studies, he went on to study at the New England College
of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts, where he received his Doctorate
in Optometry.He completed his Residency at the Louis Stokes Cleveland
Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center in Cleveland Ohio, where he specialized
in the treatment of and management of complex ocular diseases.
Dr. Rohini Mehta B.S, O. D.
Dr. Rohini Mehta (B.S., O.D.) has been in practice for nearly a decade
having worked in various clinical settings in Virginia, Maryland, Connecticut,
New York City, and Washington DC, gathering a wealth of broad range experience.
Dr. Mehta earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia
in Charlottesville, VA and her Doctor of Optometry degree from the State
University of New York in Manhattan. While finishing her doctorate degree,
she participated in a volunteer mission to Nicaragua where she provided
eye care services, glasses, and eye medications to underprivileged children
and adults. Her clinical interests are ocular disease, contact lenses,
and refractive surgery co-management.
Dr. Jason Blankenship, O.D.
Dr. Jason D. Blankenship is originally from a small town in rural south
Alabama. He graduated with Honors from Troy University in 2001 with a
Bachelor’s of Science in Mathematics degree. He then worked as an
ophthalmic technician in a glaucoma practice in Birmingham, AL for a year
before beginning optometry school. Dr. Blankenship graduated from the
UAB School of Optometry in Birmingham, AL in June 2006 and worked in Atlanta,
GA for 4 years before moving to the DC metro area. He practices full-scope,
primary care optometry in addition to fitting of contact lenses.
Dr. Richard Bossin, O.D.
Dr. Richard Bossin is a Washington DC native. He earned his Bachelor's
degree from the University of Maryland. He received his Doctor of Optometry
Degree from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee. Dr.
Bossin, in addition to practicing full scope primary care optometry and
contact lens fitting, he specializes in dealing with visual problems that
cannot be resolved with just glasses and contacts. He treats and re-mediates
developmental vision problems, strabismus and amblyopia. He provides new
parents with guidance in developing their children's vision. He also
treats visual problems resulting from head injury, stroke and autism.
Dr. Nastaran Khoshbin, O.D.
Dr. Nastaran Khoshbin is originally from Tehran, Iran. She received her
bachelor's degree in biology from George Mason University where she
graduated with honors and
Magna Cum laude. She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the State University of
New York College of Optometry in Manhattan. Dr. Khoshbin is a member of
American Optometric Association. She practices full-scope, primary care
optometry with emphasis on contact lens fitting and treatment and management
of ocular diseases.
Dr. Nisha Patel, O.D.
Dr. Nisha Patel, a native of Gastonia, North Carolina, completed her undergraduate
degree in biology at the University of North Carolina- Chapel Hill. After
completion of her undergraduate studies, she went on to study at Pennsylvania
College of Optometry, where she received her doctorate in optometry.She
completed her residency at Malcom Randall Veteran Affairs Medical Center
in Gainesville, Florida where she specialized in the treatment and management
of complex ocular diseases and also became a fellow of the American Academy
of Optometry. Dr. Patel practices full-scope primary care optometry in
addition to fitting of contact lenses.
Dr. Gurkiran Gulati, O.D.
Dr. Gurkiran Gulati was born and brought up in Northern Virginia. She completed
her undergraduate education at George Mason University and received a
Bachelor’s of Science degree in Neuroscience. She received her Doctorate
of Optometry at the Inter-American School of Optometry in Puerto Rico.
Dr. Gulati was a student fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and
still continues to be an active member. She is also an active member of
the American Optometric Association. She practices full-scope, primary
care optometry along with contact lens fitting. Dr Gulati is fluent in
English, Punjabi, Hindi, and can perform full eye examinations in Spanish.
Dr. Isha Khosa, O.D.
Dr. Isha Khosa is originally from Kashmir, India. She received a Bachelor's
of Science degree in Biology from George Mason University and her Doctorate
in Optometry from Inter-American University of Puerto Rico. During her
doctorate program, she participated in many vision screenings all over
the island of Puerto Rico, and participated in a mission trip to the Dominican
Republic and provided glasses and eye related care to around 500 under
privileged people. It is her passion to provide comprehensive eye care
to patients. She believes in giving back to the community, and is an active
member of Lions Club, and American Optometric Association. Dr. Khosa practices
full-scope optometry, including contact lens fittings. She is fluent in
English, Hindi, Urdu, and Kashmiri, and can also conduct full eye examinations
